CCRI Adopts 2 Miles of Highway 10
Armed with orange safety vests, gloves and garbage
picking sticks, thirty-three CCRI volunteers set out to clean up
a two-mile stretch of Highway 10. Our area is located 9 miles east
of Glyndon. We thought adopting a highway would be a great opportunity
for our team members to give back to the community. Wow, were we
ever pleased with the turnout for our first time! We never imagined
so many would volunteer. We had a mixture of clients, staff and
staffs kids. It was an adventure. You just never knew what
you were going to find! The most unusual garbage included three
thongs and three bras! Even though it was hard work, we enjoyed
each others company and being outside. We will clean the other
side in June. If you would like to volunteer, contact Laura Naylor. The date and time will be set soon. Thanks for taking
an interest in our community and the environment.
