We would love to share what our team members say about working at CCRI.

spacerKathy Kirkeby - Direct Service Professional
“Working at CCRI as a Direct Service Professional since 2002 has been a life enriching experience for me.   I feel that I truly make a difference in the life of my client that I work with.  We have a great team that work together to make the work place a fun place.”

“Why do I love CCRI?
With these great friends, everyday is a party!"
P.S. I’m the ‘young’ man sitting on the left wearing glasses!

(Maurie was 1 in 6 recipients in the entire state of Minnesota to be selected as a 2002 ARRM Cares Provider of the Year award for his work at CCRI)

Allen Jang - Direct Service Professional I started working for CCRI in April of 2002. The flexibility was great for working around college scheduling. The office staff are helpful as well as understanding of a student's schedule. Some of the fun things I do with the clients on outings are: frisbee golf, bowling, softball, swimming, walks, church, out to eat, casinos, baseball games, bingo, and volunteering. Being a mentor and making a difference in their lives is a reward within itself. CCRI has been a fun, as well as a learning experience for me. The friendships and bonds I've created with clients and staff are forever meaningful in my life.

spacerDee Davis - Designated Coordinator in the Options Department
I started working at CCRI in March of 1996. I have always had the opportunity to find a position at CCRI that fit my life through life’s many changes.

When I first began, I just wanted to ease back into the work force after my youngest son turned one so I started with an every/other weekend position in SLS. After awhile I felt ready to go back to work full-time so I took a Sunday through Thursday sleep stipend overnight position. I only missed a few hours in the evenings with my boys and was home in the morning soon after they woke up. The next change was when my oldest son was about to start 1st grade. I let my supervisor know that I would be very interested in changing to a full-time day position when one became available. A few months later I started working a Monday through Friday day position and also became Site Manager.

The next opportunity came at about the same time that my marriage was ending. CCRI was adding a Program Coordinator position in the SLS Department. This was a great advancement opportunity and also gave me the flexibility that I would  need as a single parent. I applied, interviewed, and was hired. I continued in the position until just recently
when  another advancement opportunity presented, in which I am currently, a Designated Coordinator in the Options Department.

CCRI is a great place to work and a wonderful team of people to work with.
One of my sons stated in a school report that it seems to be a requirement that you need to be really nice and have lots of fun to work at CCRI. I’ve been here 10+ years and I still look forward to coming to work every day and most of it is lots of fun.”

spacerCurt Fadness - Direct Service Professional
In 2002, I wanted a part-time evening job.  A friend told me about CCRI.  I am still working part-time and it has been rewarding to be able to take the people we serve on trips and outings. Curt has been employed since 2002.
