Ainsley’s Angels loves the CCRI SuperHero 5K!
Written by Christine Hamre, Ainsley’s Angels ambassador in the Red River Valley
Ainsley’s Angels in the Red River Valley is part of a national organization, Ainsley’s Angels of America. In addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events, Ainsley’s Angels of America aims to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life. Serving as advocates to providing education and participating as active members in local communities, we believe everyone deserves to be included.
When I started our local ambassadorship 2 years ago, one of my tasks was to find local races for our Angel Riders and Angel Runners to participate in. One of the first places I reached out to was CCRI, and they were the first to respond. They welcomed our new (to the area) group with open arms. Not only did they say that they’d love to have us run with them, but they asked if we would like to set up an information booth to help spread the word about Ainsley’s Angels. That first race was SO great! We felt so welcomed and all of our riders and runners had such a fun time. This will be our 3rd year running and rolling in the CCRI SuperHero 5K. It’s truly a race we look forward to. The positive, uplifting atmosphere is amazing, and we wouldn’t miss it for the world!
We love the relationship between Ainsley’s Angels in the Red River Valley and CCRI. We have the same ultimate goal….to enrich the lives of people with disabilities in our community. So we support each other in achieving this goal. CCRI feels like family. 😊
