Volunteer Appreciation Week
This week is Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we would like to take a moment to reflect on all the things our awesome volunteers have done.
In 2016, we were lucky enough to have 127 volunteers. These volunteers committed 4,236 hours total to helping CCRI enhance the lives of people with disabilities. There are a variety of ways to get involved with volunteering, but whether you spend time helping at events or working with clients, you have a chance to make an impact in the community. Some volunteer opportunities include the Adaptive Softball League, Prom, our talent show, and the annual Thanksgiving dinner among other things .
The hard work of volunteers leveraged $76,244 in just 2016 alone. While one person can only accomplish so much, working together within the community proves how much we can accomplish together. Volunteers took on many roles over the course of the year, but they all collaboratively contributed to furthering CCRI’s mission.
